We made it there for the tail end of an act that took place from 6-7 p.m. The group who was performing was entitled the "Screaming Orphans", an all-girl rock band with kind of a modern Tom Tom Club feel to their music. We were a bit distracted from this act seeing as we were meeting up with a friend that we were seeing for the second time since we had met him a number of years prior. The second performance we were able to see was one by "Gaelic Storm." This band had an absolutely outstanding fiddle player and there was a very fun irish feel to their music. The style was very modern, however it eluded to close traditional roots.

The final act on Friday night was a performance by a group called "Flatfoot 56." They were a lot heavier than the groups that proceeded them. I have a feeling that I would enjoyed the performance a lot better if the sound people had done a better job of balancing the vocals with the rest of the instruments. All in all though, for a heavier band I thoroughly enjoyed their performance. It also allowed a bunch of people to get up and dance.
